FOOD FOR THOUGHT
đ A night out (or in) with Lyons Group
Whether you're dining in style or dialing it in from your couch, any Lyons Group-owned establishment knows how to serve up a good time â and weâre here to walk you through some of their must-try spots in the city. Consider this your itinerary for a night that will leave your mood high and your stomach full.
FIRST STOP
đĽ Dinner at Rochambeau.
Look, lifeâs too short to skimp on the good stuff â and Rochambeau definitely has some of the best French cuisine in Boston. Situated in the heart of Back Bay (right next to the Pru), itâs the kind of place youâve probably walked past a hundred times, dreaming of those beautiful Parisian-style dinners. But hereâs the twist: you donât have to pay an arm and a leg for tiny portions. Sure, the prices arenât exactly pocket change, but youâre getting a luxury dining experience that will leave you satisfied (and with plenty of leftovers to spare). Plus, for those nights when youâd rather eat truffled burrata in pajamas instead of a Parisian-inspired dining room â itâs all just a few taps away on DoorDash.
Things to try:
Truffled Burrata (because if thereâs any way to make cheese even better, itâs with truffle)
Pan-Roasted Statler Chicken (crispy skin, juicy meat, chefâs kiss)
Steak Frites (which includes a NY strip, salad, warm baguette, and bottomless rosemary-salted fries. Yes, bottomless)
NEXT UP
đ¸ Drinks at Luckyâs Lounge.
After you wrap up dinner, head to Seaport for drinks at everyoneâs favorite dive bar-speakeasy-hybrid: Luckyâs Lounge. Itâs a slightly different vibe than the European-chic Rochambeau, but â as every regular can probably attest â this is where you stumble into the best night ever. Pro tip: Show up by 7 p.m. for free comedy on Mondays or Trivia on Tuesdays and laugh/quiz your way through a cocktail (or three). Not feeling the trek out? Let DoorDash deliver your favorite bar bites to pair with your own DIY martini or spritz at home.
Things to try:
Espresso Martini (an oldie but a goodie)
Swifties Spritz (for those in their Reputation era)
Firecracker (itâs spicy, just like you)
LAST STOP
đŠ Back Door Donuts.
Unless you want to wake up tomorrow with a headache, youâre going to want a little something before heading home. Luckily, serving mouth-watering pastries to tipsy bar crawlers in Fenway is Back Door Donutsâ specialty. Open nightly from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. (or open at 4 p.m. on Red Sox game days), this place was practically made for late-night cravings. Just walk up to the window on the corner next to Lorettaâs Last Call and order a box with one of everything. Itâs the only way to get the full experience.
Things to try:
Apple Fritter (itâs the most popular for a reason)
Maple Bacon Donut (breakfast and dessert in one bite)
Party Donut (it tastes exactly like it sounds)
đ And for those who'd rather skip the headache of a Boston night out (we see you, and we understand), you can get all this goodness delivered right to your couch via DoorDash. Because really, who has the energy to leave the house now that the sun is setting before 5 p.m.?
QUICK QUESTION
đłď¸ You can only choose one combination to eat for the rest of your life, whatâre you having? |
ONE LAST THING
đĽ Hungry for more?
Weâve got two bite-sized videos for your scrolling pleasure. See every truffle shave, and martini shake from Rochambeau, Luckyâs Lounge, and Back Door Donuts â plus a few extra spots in the city we think youâd love. Warning: Donât watch these on an empty stomach unless youâre prepared to make some very impulsive snacking decisions.

đŽ Thanks for reading! If you ask us, this kind of night out beats rotting in bed (but if thatâs what youâre up to, thereâs always DoorDash).
đ Special shoutout to todayâs sponsors, DoorDash and Lyons Group, for sponsoring this extra B-Side send and keeping Boston fed.
