Let’s just say, we double-booked your social calendar this month. And somehow, it won’t cost you a DIME (you’re welcome <3).

Here are the best free events happening around Boston in June:

💃 Cha-cha your summer nights away. Need a date night idea? A post-work sweat? A new hobby? The Anchor’s outdoor salsa and bachata class on Mondays this summer checks all three boxes.

🍻 Let the (lawn) games begin! Suffolk Downs is hosting two competitions this month that’ll put your squad to the test. Mark your calendars for this country night cornhole tournament on June 4. Then, get ready for the backyard beer olympics on June 18, where you’ll flex your giant beer pong and Redneck Horseshoes skills.

🥊 Get fit fo’ free. The Blue Line Flex outdoor fitness series is finally here! Head over to Beachmont Square every Tuesday and Saturday throughout the summer for free workout classes, featuring everything from boxing to yoga to pilates.

👋 Trade Boston Calling for Boston ~Chilling~. This free, low-key music festival from Harpoon is all about, well, chill vibes. Head to Lawn on D June 6 for live local music, lots of beer, lawn games, and more. The lineup looks sweeeeet.

🏳️‍🌈 Sweat it out with pride. Your fave gyms are hosting free classes for Pride Month, starting with a Barry’s pop-up HIIT session at Tall Ship on June 7. Then throughout June, Healthworks and Republic are offering a mix of dance, pilates, and yoga classes across the city. Don’t worry, we’ll fill you in on all things Pride Parade later this week!

🧘 Shavasana on your summer Fridays. Hunched over your desk all week? Wind down with a free stretch in Seaport every Friday at noon this summer for some much-needed recovery, AND get free samples of Lifeway Kefir after your sesh. Pro tip: Bring your own mat!

🎨 Add a splash of color to your life. Wanna paint? You can design your own mini canvas on June 11 with a side of live tunes, or try a relaxing watercolor experience on June 16. (PSA: The watercolor tickets are not yet available, so join the waitlist.) Wanna do textiles? The Shiny Shop is hosting sessions for felt painted patches on June 17 and for sequin art on June 25.

🛥️ Seas the day! Save the Harbor is hosting a free cruise to Spectacle Island on June 14, the perfect way to fit a hike, picnic, and beachside retreat all in one afternoon. Space is limited, so grab tickets STAT!

🪩 Tear up the dance floor Mass. Ave. The dance floor = the streets of Cambridge on June 26. Kick off summer with the HUGE annual block party outside Cambridge City Hall with local DJs, activities, and a light show.

A better game plan for summer

🌲 The world’s biggest soccer tournament is coming to New England … and so are approximately 3 million people. But while everyone else is circling Boston for parking and sweating through packed T platforms, you could be in New Hampshire living your best post-match life. Spend the day cheering on your favorite team, then unwind with dockside hangs, mountain views, and a lot less chaos. Whether you’re extending your New England trip or simply escaping the crowds for a weekend, this is your reminder that the best play of the summer might actually be heading north.

CITY

Quick & dirty headlines

☄️ The boom that shook Boston was actually a … meteor?! We might’ve downplayed in our family group chats that it was thunder or construction. But that big boom that shook your living room was, in fact, a three-foot-wide bolide meteor (basically a huge fireball) passing through the atmosphere. It thankfully broke apart about 40 miles above the ground near the Mass.-New Hampshire border. And get this: According to NASA, the energy released from that was about the same as a blast from 300 TONS of TNT.

☕ Your Monday coffee order is on Capital One this summer. Translation: MLB Mondays are BACK! From now through Sept. 7, you can get a free bevvy on the house at ANY Capital One Cafe location. Step 1: Click this link. Step 2: Enter your phone number. Step 3: Add the pass to your digital wallet. Step 4: Show the pass at the counter when you order! The best part? No purchase is required!

🎶 Some musicians are coming down with a case of the blues. Have you noticed some artists canceling their tours? (See: The Pussycat Dolls.) This might be because of “blue dot fever.” This is what the music industry is calling poor Ticketmaster sales, since each blue dot symbolizes an available seat on the platform. Why is this happening? One Berklee College professor cited two reasons: too many concerts and people not wanting to spend money.

🍻 More beer and pizza in Boston? We’ll cheers to that. Tree House Brewing Company introduced a beer garden outside Faneuil Hall (say less!). While we thought they were also going to take over more space inside of Faneuil Hall, Tree House just dispelled those rumors online. On the pizza front, Joe’s Pizza, the New York-based slice shop, just added another location in Fenway (praying the lines won’t look like the Cambridge location …).

QUICK QUESTION

💥 Did you hear the meteor, too?!

ONE LAST THING

America drives on Dunkin’

At this point, we need a whole Dunkin’ innovation series. Last week, we told you about someone’s homemade 640-ounce iced coffee bucket. We now present: the Dunkin’ bucket car cup holder

Erin Hart (@inman_mom) built this with a 3D printer for her official 48-ounce bucket. And bonus: It’s also great storage for munchkins and car snacks.

She even took her creation to Etsy and, well … they’re already sold out. (Are we really surprised?) But she commented that she hopes to make more once she gets through her orders.

“I am just a mom with a 3D printer and a desire to solve real world problems,” she commented on one of her videos. Erin Hart 2028.

😂 Thanks for reading! FWIW, we found this whole Etsy page dedicated to Dunkin’ car accessories, and we need these car coasters YESTERDAY.

💜 Special shoutout to today’s sponsor, Visit NH, for supporting local journalism and making “just a weekend trip” into something that could last forever.

🍺 The results are in: 68% of you would LOVE the 3 a.m. last call. “It's what Paul Revere would've wanted,” one reader said. But many of you did say that your night depends on what time the T will run, more than anything else. So unless there’s a 3 a.m. train running …
