🍿 Butter your popcorn for the week. Watch back-to-back-to-back features at the Roxbury Film Festival, a nine-day event starting June 18 that celebrates films by and for people of color. Want more? The week after is filled with virtual screenings and panels. 

🏒 Refresh your sports merch. Add some cute new drip to your Bruins and Celtics collection with this *massive* sale (up to 80% off!) June 18-20 outside TD Garden. 

⚽ Party with the Tartan Army. Any bar with kilts = a hell of a good time. Be ready to scream-sing at the screen for Scotland’s match against Morocco on June 19 at Roundhead Brewing’s Summer of Soccer watch party. 🖼️ Stroll the MFA fo’ free. The museum is offering free admission to its exhibits on June 19 for Juneteenth AND June 20 to celebrate its new American art galleries for the 250th. (But JSYK, the hot dog historical figures will not be on display there … yet …)

🥂🎉 Dress code: Roaring 20’s. The vibe: watching the opulent world of Jay Gatsby coming to life on the stage. 🍻 PSA: You can cheers your beers for another hour! FINALLY: Nearly 200 bars across Boston have been approved to extend last call into the wee hours of the morning through July. A whopping ~130 of them are open ’till 3 a.m., with more to come on a rolling basis. See the full list of bars here. But with the way the Tartan Army is draining the city’s beer reserves, these bars better get ready for the long nights ahead. Just remember: the T will still only be running until 2 a.m. on match days … 

⛴️ Save the Harbor is about to be your “friend with a boat.” Imagine: Golden hour views on the horizon, wind in your hair, and … no dimes dropped? Where do we sign?! You can now take a handful of free cruises around the harbor this summer, thanks to the folks at Save the Harbor. Wanna make a day out of it? Book one of the Sunday cruises to Spectacle Island for beach vibes, hiking, and more. But make sure to mark your calendars — registration opens three weeks before the date! 

🍦 Boston’s favorite sweet spots are scooping for duty. Let’s plan out your next ice cream crawl now: Starting June 20, L.A. Burdick’s Brookline location will be slinging scoops, and the flavor lineup looks GAS. Think: Apricot elderflower, honey caramel truffle, and moscato butter. Next, head to Fenway to try Matcha Maiko’s new mango sticky rice parfait. And for the palate cleanser, try this new limonada sherbet from Honeycomb, inspired by the popular tart and creamy Brazilian bev.

Watch out Tartans, there’s a new soccer army in town. Norway’s Viking Army is now taking over the city … well specifically, our escalators. 

Enter: The Viking Row. This is a classic Norwegian soccer tradition where fans sit down, lean forward, and pull back like they’re rowing and chanting in perfect unison. So they started doing it in the most obvious of places: the escalators at TD Garden and South Station.

But whether it’s on an escalator, in the stadium stands, or on the streets of Boston, these fans look like a well-oiled machine. And the energy is not slowing down after Norway beat Iraq in their first World Cup match.

Boston’s reaction? HYPED. Someone commented: “This confirms what I had long suspected: the Vikings never left us and are alive and well.”
