Congratulations, B-Siders! You’ve made it to another summer Friday. To celebrate, we’re rounding up all the best things to do this weekend.

Here’s what’s going on:

🎸 Catch free live music every night. Tonight’s the official kickoff to the Boston Harbor Hotel’s iconic Summer in the City series, which brings free live music to the Harborwalk every Tuesday through Friday through August.

⛴️ Start your hot YACHT girl summer. OK fine, there are no yachts, but Courageous Sailing in Charlestown is offering free sailboat, rowboat, paddleboard, or kayak rides at Jamaica Pond on June 7. Sign up for a slot here!

🤸 Ditch your gym membership. ‘Cause Boston Landing’s second-annual Community Fit Fest is happening on June 7. It’s basically the motherlode of free fitness classes: From boxing to cycling to yoga and more, running all day long. Don’t forget to register!

👙 Get DRENCHED for Pride month. Saturday’s weather may not be screaming “summer,” but you couldn’t rain on the parade of Dorchester Brewing’s Big Queer Pool Party on June 7! Think: Kiddie pools, hot dogs, a beer ice luge, an ice cream truck, drag performers, and … a wet T-shirt contest.

🛋️ Make yourself at home in Allston. Boston Public Living Room is throwing a block party pop up on June 7 with vintage clothes, live music, plant propagation, flower crown making, ping pong, and free Yerbs.

🍺 Choose your own (brewery) adventure: June 7 is Long Live Roxbury’s 2nd anniversary bash and craft fair with vinyl, plants, and live portraits, AND Aeronaut’s Pride party/beer launch with shopping, drag, and music.

🪩 Try a yoga flow unlike any other. The WNDR Museum’s June 7 yoga flow isn’t a normal yoga class, it’s a cool yoga class. Flow to groovy tunes in the museum’s new Lumaria exhibit. Don’t want to shell out $40? Here’s a free flow at the Liberty Hotel.

🎶 Soothe your post-Boston Calling blues. Thank GOD for Boston Public Market’s live music and local flavors festival on June 8. Expect a full lineup of live music (including RLETTO from “The Voice”), food, brews, permanent jewelry, and lawn games.

🥖 Say “oui!” for the weekend. Le Grand Prix Elmendorf du Pain (translation: a Parisian-inspired street fair) is coming to Cambridge on June 8. Sip on wine, listen to music, and watch a fierce bread baking competition.

🛍️ Get thrifty with it. June 8 = vintage shopping day, with the Strawberry Moon Flea Market coming to the Cambridge Community Center, and Select Markets throwing an Outdoor Thrift Fest at TimeOut.

CITY

Quick & dirty headlines

🌈 The City Council really said “we’re here and QUEER.” On Wednesday, the council unanimously codified the Mayor’s office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement, making it a permanent post at City Hall, no matter the administration. Before the vote, Councilor Henry Santana and over 45 local groups donned rainbow fits and rallied at City Hall in support of the proposal — both a celebration and an act of defiance in the face of threats to LGBTQ+ communities face across the country. “This year, we want to make a statement,” Santana told the Globe

🎓 President Trump upped the ante on Harvard (again). In his latest attempt to get the university to bend to his demands, President Trump blocked nearly all of the school’s student visa holders from entering the country, saying it’s for “national security” reasons. The move is basically a loophole for Trump to crack down on international students after his OG ban was blocked. But Harvard isn’t stepping out of the ring just yet, calling the action “illegal” and recommitting to protecting international students.

🍩 We hope you didn’t make breakfast plans … Because it’s National Doughnut Day! Which means HUGE doughnut deals. Here’s a local list in order of bang for your buck (IMO): A free-to-enter $50 gift card giveaway from Union Square Donuts; free donuts for the first 50 customers at Backdoor Donuts; $1 vanilla glazed donuts at BlackBird while supplies last; a free donut with a bev purchase at Dunkin’; and finally, a free small coffee and a donut if you buy a dozen at Kane’s. Bone apple tea, baby!

QUICK QUESTION!

🍩 What’s the BEST type of Dunkin’ doughnut?

Tired: Getting a free doughnut for National Doughnut Day. Wired: Biking to every single Dunkin’ in Boston for National Doughnut Day.

If you’re reading this before 7:30 p.m. on June 6, Adam Bigelow is currently biking to (and eating a munchkin at) 92 different Dunkin’ locations within city limits. Here’s his schedule.

During that time, he’ll eat 92 munchkins (one per stop), bike ~76 miles (this is his planned route), and hopefully raise a ton of money for MS ahead of the Bike MS charity ride later this month. That’s the goal behind his wacky mission, after all

During his ride, folks who donate to his cause will get Dunkin’ gift cards and swag, shoutouts, and more. You can donate here.

🍩 Thanks for reading! Looks like the rat-infested Back Bay station location closed just in time.
