In case you didnāt hear, the Prince and Princess of Wales are in town. Their trip to Boston wraps up today with the Earthshot Prize Awards presented at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. But whatās it all about? We answer your FQAs.
What is the Earthshot Prize?
Prince William developed the awards in 2020 to honor global efforts combating climate change.
There are five Earthshot categories: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World, and Fix Our Climate. You can read about the finalists here.
What do the winners get?
Winners of each award are given Ā£1 million, about $1.2 million.
Why is it in Boston?
Boston was chosen partly because the program was inspired by the late President John F. Kennedyās Moonshot speech, which called for humanity to reach the moon before the end of the 1960s.
Also: āBoston was also the obvious choice because your universities, research centers, and vibrant startup scene make you a global leader in science, innovation, and boundless ambition,ā Prince William said.
Who will be there?

Billie Eilish and her brother FINNEAS
